Members who elect to have their paychecks direct deposited at GE Credit Union may receive their pay up to two days earlier than at the average bank. Most financial institutions that distribute direct deposit payroll receive the funds in advance of payday to ensure that the money is available when needed. Most banks hold on to this money until pay day, even if the money has already been verified a couple days beforehand. But GE Credit Union releases the funds to you, our members, as soon as the money is verified. This means that you could get paid up to two days early!
